one of the best service programming resources i discovered while at catalyst was planning center. planning center brought together multiple tasks into 1 interface that everyone could access as needed. while it did take us a while to get the right templates and structure within planning center set up, the time we spent getting it ready way paid off for all of our end users. we were still working towards getting all of our musicians on there, but the benefits it brought to my volunteers and our staff really allowed a new level of preparedness for sunday. i knew the person running pro had listened to any new songs and had the comfort of knowing every volunteer accepted or declined officially for that sunday. if you can be intentional about using it to its full potential the value it adds to service programming is huge.
